Bio

My name is Maurine Cherotich Chepkwony. I am a kenyan female doing my Master’s in Veterinary public health at the University of Nairobi. I completed my bachelors degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Nairobi in 2013. My undergraduate project was on “The Efficacy and Efficiency of ECF vaccine in Narok county”. I am currently conducting my MSc project on “The prevalence of Campylobacter in Nairobi” under the urban zoo project. I have had experience in carrying out questionnaires and also conducting focus group discussions as research tools, study designing and sampling. In addition, i also have had experience in molecular PCR work, serological testing methods, herd health, small and large animal medicine and surgery practice, My interest is mainly in research on zoonoses and other infectious diseases.
