John Mwaniki was a Wellcome-Trust funded laboratory technician on attachment from the Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI), working on the Zoonoses amongst livestock and their keepers PAZ project. He is now a DAAD Scholar studying for a PhD in on the molecular epidemiology of brucellosis in Kenya.
