Titus Mutwiri is an assistant lecturer at Kenya Methodist University, Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences. A Kenya registered Medical Laboratory Technologist. He has a BSc in Microbiology from Kenya Methodist University and a MSc. in Medical Microbiology from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. His MSc. Thesis was on “Genetic Characterization of Echinococcus granulosus strains from humans in the Turkana community in Kenya”. He has interests in molecular epidemiology and project management
Titus is on a funded DAAD PhD programme through ILRI. He is a student at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, Institute of Tropical Medicine. His PhD research project focuses on “Cystic Echinococcosis in Western Kenya: Distribution and Genetic Diversity”. This project is housed by the ILRI ZooLinK programme. Titus is working under the supervision of Prof Eric Fèvre.
