Msc student (University of Nairobi, Kenya)

Bio

I am a veterinary epidemiologist currently pursuing my PhD at the University of Nairobi’s department of Public Health Pharmacology and Toxicology (PHPT). As part of the ZooLinK team, I intend to map the pork value chains in Busia, Bungoma and Kakamega as well as identify risk hotspots for Salmonella and pathogenic E.coli in these using network analyses. I am excited and I look forward to working alongside everyone.

Previously my work, through the University of Nairobi and attached to the ESEI project, investigated the, “prevalence and antimicrobial resistance of salmonella isolated from food, livestock and the environment in Korogocho and Viwandani slums of Nairobi.”
